Charleston HBA hosted their last few events of the year with success. The Healthcare 101 class sponsored by SIC was a successful zoom meeting as was the Virtual New Home Bus Tour sponsored by Dominion Energy. It focused on Summerville and Moncks Corner with ten homes showcased. Their final event of the year was the BS & Beer sponsored by Ferguson and Elevators Direct of Charleston, and was held at Two Blokes Brewing Co. It was an outdoor event of mingling, networking and eating from Victor’s Lab food truck!
Members of the Building Industry Association of Central South Carolina (BIA) voted for their Residential Builder Member of the Year Award and Associate Member of the Year Award. Kevin Steelman of LandTech, LLC was named the Residential Builder Member and BIA Associate Member of the Year is Bill Earle of Great Southern Homes, Inc. Mike Satterfield of Great Southern Homes, Inc. was named the Richard N. Sendler award. Clark’s Termite & Pest Control was named Trade Contractor of the Year. The BIA of Central SC would like to commend the award winners on their hard work and dedication throughout the year.
Horry-Georgetown HBA members prepared for the Fall Clay Tournament. 46 four person teams participated in the Clay Tournament and the HGHBA was able to raise $5,000 for the Fostering Hope Angel of Hope Christmas Drive. The HGHBA also participated in a Christmas Coat Drive for Fostering Hope and collected two bins of winter coats and $1,000 in donations. Two member businesses that volunteered as collection locations are pictured.

Lakelands Home Builders Association had their annual Christmas Party in December in spite of the dreadful COVID-19. With all of the COVID protocols in place, they still managed to have an enjoyable night. Even though the main theme was mask, hand-sanitizer and social distancing they still gave out the coveted awards of Associate of the Year, Builder of the Year, and President of the Year! Pictured are:
