HBASC LEADERSHIP WELCOMES NEW FACES
Andy Barber President Andy Barber is the President and founder of Generation Homes out of Charleston. He is the first recipient of the HBASC Associate Member of the Year award, and serves as chairman of the Pinnacle Awards Committee and the Building Codes Committee. As president, Barber is the chief elected officer of the HBASC and influences HBA goals and objectives during his term in office. He serves on all committees and works closely with the Executive Director to ensure that the Association is meeting the needs of its members.
Wayne Moore Vice President Wayne Moore is President of Harold Moore Builder, Inc. Established in 1971, Harold Moore Builder, Inc. is a licensed General Contractor serving residential and commercial clients in the Upstate region of South Carolina. Wayne has served as President of the Greenville HBA and has been recognized as the Greenville HBA Builder of the Year. He is a graduate of Clemson University. He and his wife Kristina have two children, Claudia and Nathan. Vice President Moore will perform the duties and responsibilities of the President during the President’s absence.
David Tuttle Treasurer David Tuttle, a graduate of the University of South Carolina, is the president of Lake Carolina Development in Columbia. He has served as president of the Building Industry Association of Central S. C. He resides in Columbia with his wife, Julie. Tuttle plays a key role in the HBASC as treasurer, ensuring the integrity of fiscal affairs and accurate financial records are maintained.
Louie Hopkins Secretary Louie Hopkins, owner and president of Hopkins Builders, has been involved in the building industry for over 20 years. His company has experience building all styles and designs of homes from the modest starter home to the most elite custom homes. Louie started his career working in the family business at an early age learning the essentials of the home building trade. In 2001, he took his knowledge and business expertise to a new level when he formed Hopkins Builders. As secretary for the HBASC, Hopkins performs such duties as keeping records of decisions/discussions at Executive Committee and Board of Directors meetings and maintains custody of the HBASC corporate seal through his signature.
Rick Quinn Immediate Past President Rick Quinn has been a Home Builder, developer, and real estate professional for more than 30 years. He has served on the HBA of Greenville Board of Directors since 2008 and has been voted Chairman of S. C. Builders PAC. The Immediate Past President provides advice and leadership to the Board of Directors regarding past practices and other matters to assist the Board in governing the Association.
Bennett Griffin, CIC Associates Vice President Hartsville native Bennett Griffin is a key member of the Executive Committee in that he assists in the performance of the president’s duties with emphasis on associate members’ issues. He ensures recognition of associate members and efforts are made promote doing business with other members, essentially enhancing associate members’ business. For more than 10 years, Griffin has been with Frank B. Norris & Company and now Brabham Griffin Insurance, LLC. He is active in several local associations around the state. Before joining Frank B. Norris & Co., he worked in commercial construction throughout the state. Griffin and his wife, Helen, live in Columbia with their three children Charlie, Ann West and Grier.
Brian Esposito District 1 Vice President Brian started in the construction industry, in 1990, and along with his wife Leslie, is the owner of Esposito Construction Inc., which is a small diversified construction company that contracts residential renovations, new construction and commercial construction. Brian and Leslie reside on Hilton Head Island with their children; Emerson, Zella and Callen. Esposito represents the Charleston HBA and the Hilton Head Area HBA.
Eddie Yandle, CMB and CGP District 2 Vice President Eddie and Shanna Yandle are the owners and founders of Executive Construction. Eddie Yandle has been in the building industry his entire life and has earned the professional designations of a Certified Master Builder (CMB) and a Certified Green Professional (CGP). Eddie is very involved with his local community events and is served as the 2016 President for the BIA of Central S. C. Yandle represents the BIA of Central S. C., HBA of Lancaster County, HBA of Orangeburg-Bamberg-Calhoun, and HBA of York County.
Johnny Uldrick, CMB District 3 Vice President Johnny Uldrick, owner and General Contractor of Uldrick Builders, LLC, learned the business by watching and helping his father and eventually taking over the family business in 1990. He is most notably known for his custom built homes, which has offered him the opportunity of being the first recipient of the HBASC Thomas N. Bagnal Builder Member of the Year Award, in addition to being installed into the S. C. Housing Hall of Fame in 2012. Today, Uldrick Builders, LLC is still building custom homes and has also gained an impressive reputation in the commercial sector. Johnny represents the HBA of Aiken County, HBA of Anderson, Lakelands HBA and the HBA of Oconee.
Slavik Cholak District 4 Vice President During a time of conflict in 1992, Slavik Cholak fled with his parents to the United States as refugees. Settling into the Upstate of South Carolina, Slavik began a new life of freedom. Slavik started working in home construction at an early

The Home Builders Association of South Carolina (HBASC) membership has elected its Executive Committee and Board to lead the HBASC through 2019. The Executive Committee and Board are charged with representing the HBASC at various functions and conveying the Association’s mission and views in a positive light. It is the leadership of all HBA members, who volunteer their own time, that carry the HBASC into the future with the anticipation of a positive outlook for the industry.

DISTRICT VICE PRESIDENTS

One District Vice President is appointed from each of the five districts. These appointees act as liaisons to the HBAs within their district. They communicate with local HBA executive officers and also at general membership meetings, reporting on HBASC activities, Board decisions, and issues of concern. In turn, District Vice Presidents report back to the HBASC Board of Directors on local HBA activities and concerns when other HBA representatives are not available.
