Johnny Uldrick, Lakelands HBA, was named the 2017 Greenwood Area Chamber of Commerce Small Business Person of the Year!
The Horry /Georgetown HBA introduced rising ninth grade students to a four day student program called Careers in Construction. This program is a focused effort to encourage to future leaders to work toward a career within the building industry.
HBA members from around the state traveled to Washington, DC as part of the 2017 NAHB Legislative Conference. They met with the delegation and their staff regarding issues important to our industry. Your voice makes a difference!

Operation FINALLY HOME along with Building Industry Association Members Dunbar Builders and Mungo Homes surprised U. S. Marine Sgt. Keith Turnbow with the news that he and his family will be moving into a custom-built, mortgage-free home in Chapin in 2017. The surprise took place during a special groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday, June 21. Joining Keith was his wife, Maggy, their four children, representatives from Operation FINALLY HOME, Dunbar Builders, and Mungo Homes, who made the home site available for the project.
